Love .....

This feeling I’ve been feeling
Has been here for a while
It’s taking all I have
To even try to smile
The test came back with no news
That I didn’t already know
Which treatment do I choose?
Which way do I go?
Will you walk beside me?
Or will you turn and run?
As the winds of fate blow so cold
Will you be my warming sun?
Will you show me you still love me?
When all my hair is gone
Will you walk beside me?
Or will you turn and run?
Now my weakened body
Is so tired of this fight
I must know that you are ready
And that you’ll be alright
And willing to let me go
When the time has finally come
And I must go without you
And leave you on your own
As you walked beside me
You never turned to run
When the winds of fate blew cold
You were my warming sun
And you showed me you still loved me
Until my life on earth was done
Now I’ll always walk beside you
And I’ll never turn to run
