If Somebody says to you……



If somebody says to you,
‘Correct me if I’m wrong’
what they really mean is that they don’t want to be contradicted.


If somebody says to you,
‘Far be it from me to say’
what they really mean is that they know better.


If somebody says to you
‘I’ll get in touch’,
the chances are high that they won’t be in touch.


If somebody says to you,
‘I’m sure you’re right’,
what they really mean is that they doubt that you are.


If somebody says to you,
‘I must have got it wrong’
what they really mean is that, they are right
but couldn’t be bothered arguing with you.


If somebody says to you,
‘We must have lunch sometime’
what they really are trying to do is to be nice,
but know its not going to happen.


If somebody gives you
a smile today or a gift or a word of encouragement,
let’s hope they mean it!!
